It was so nice out that after we watched the Vikings win and Bucs lose, J and I did some yard work. Duncan decided to help. Here’s his method of helping us with the weed eater.
Not seen? Duncan deciding the shovel is a play toy, especially as J was trying to use it. And the pick ax was some to bite at. And bark at.

By my dog!
It was raining here on Tuesday which means drying off the puppies paws after they’ve been outside. Duncan came in first and I got his dried. Then Ciera came in. While I was trying to dry hers she decided to roll over on her back; to make it easier for me? Danged if I know. But Duncan thought “Hey! Play time!”; although in fairness he pretty much thinks it’s always play time, especially if Ciera is accessible. I was bent over and Duncan tried to play with Ciera. Which involved jumping up, front legs only. And the top of his hard head smacked right into my mouth. I was afraid he had knocked some teeth loose; thankfully he didn’t.
As soon as he hit me, and I obviously yelled in pain, he took off outside. He stopped while he was still in the porch and looked at me. I couldn’t stay mad at him, he had the most pathetic look of guilt on his face. The poor pup. So now I have a very bruised lip, although the swelling has gone away.

Normally this room is blocked off. In fact this room, the office and the second bath are all blocked from the dogs.
The baby gate is usually further forward to give the cats a Duncan free zone. But Mom spent the night last Friday. And instead of making my short and still occasionally sore from surgery mom climb over it, I moved it to the office doorway.
I was sitting watching tv and got up to go to the kitchen. Duncan wasn’t in his usual spot on the living room floor; he wasn’t in his bed or kennel in the kitchen; he wasn’t in our bed. I knew he wasn’t outside; then it occurred to me to check the guest room. And what do you know, there’s Duncan. I guess he found a new bed.
