All parties have received their bears so I can share.
Two Good Luck bears and a Cheer Bear.
Good Luck Bear was made using Red Heart Classics Spring Green. I used an I hook for this one.
Cheer Bear was made with Vanna ‘ s Choice in Dusty Rose. The body was crouched crocheted using a J hook and the white was done with an I hook.
And because no Care Bear is complete without its heart. ..

So I have pictures for you!
First off, the baby blanket I made for my manager who delivered her son in May. Oops, I’m a little behind in posts 🙂
This one was made using the Entrelac technique and, if I remember right, a J hook. The yarn used was Caron Simply Soft (one of my favorites for baby blankets) in Soft Blue, Sage and Grey. I was very happy with how this turned out, considering I hadn’t actually tried this method before.
The second one is an item hot off the hook. I literally just finished and packed it up tonight. A friend commissioned this as a gift and I sent her to her local Joann’s and told her to pick out the yarns she wanted me to use and I would go pick it up at my local store. She also choose the pattern and the border, which is a braided crochet edging.
This one I used a size I hook and Caron Simply Soft in Passion, Pagoda and Oceania.

A team member and my team lead at work are both pregnant, both due soon; but this post today is about team member. This is her first baby and she is having a girl. But she was very specific about colors; no pink. Her favorite color is purple so she is going with purple as much as possible. And of course, being who I am, I made a baby blanket. I used SmoothFox’s Heart of a Child pattern that I got to test years ago. The original plan was to do it in dark, light and a variegated yarn that contained a lot of purple. However the variegated didn’t work out so well and I ended up including pink and green. The yarn was all Caron Simply Soft, my favorite for baby blankets and I used an I hook.
The final result.
